Tomorrow, my son Andrew and my niece Melanie will be walking with me in this 10th Hike for Hospice. Late in November 2017, when my mother, Elsie, grandma to Melanie and Andrew reached the end of her 97 years (almost 98) on earth, Sakura House provided her with a beautiful, welcoming room and tender care where her family was welcome to visit and even spend the nights with her. We will always be so grateful for the kindness and care that was shown to her and realize that same care is given to every individual and family who find themselves entering the front door at Sakura House. It's a pleasure and honour to walk tomorrow and encourage family and friends to make donations that will ensure the continuing success of this amazing community resource. Thank you.

About VON Oxford Sakura House
Our 10-bed residential hospice provides compassionate end-of-life care at no cost to patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. VON Sakura House provides a skilled team of nurses, personal support workers, physicians and specially trained volunteers who help more than 170 patients and their families each year. Hospice care is covered only partially by government funding so we need to raise the rest to cover the gap. That is why your donation is so important.
