In Honor of my Mother and In Memory of Grandma and Aunt Cathy
I have participated in the Hike for hospice with my daughter since 2018. I initially did it in honour of my Grandma. She was an amazing woman that did so much for everyone. She spent some time at Sakura House.
I have lost another special woman in my life. She was the light of my husbands family. Her huge smile, her ability to live life to the fullest even in the toughest times. Her time at Sakura house was short but now she is at peace
This year is exceptionally difficult as my mom is battling cancer. Our hope her final journey will be to Sakura House.
Hiking for the Hospice is what I could do to show my appreciation for everything they have done for my family and others. Sakura House made a difficult time easier.
I encourage my friends and family to support in anyway they can.

About VON Oxford Sakura House
Our 10-bed residential hospice provides compassionate end-of-life care at no cost to patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. VON Sakura House provides a skilled team of nurses, personal support workers, physicians and specially trained volunteers who help more than 170 patients and their families each year.
