Welcome to My Personal Page

I have left a piece of my heart at Sakura after retiring in December 2022. I will join the Hike for Hospice again this year, as I know how fortunate we are to have a Hospice in our community and it takes the community to support the cause.
No one wants to find themselves or their loved one at Sakura, but if you do, then it means you are at a point where you need the support and care Sakura can provide. The team will do everything possible to provide symptom relief, and comfort to the dying in their care.
My hope and dream is that some day each and every community will have a Residential Hospice, with a team dedicated to providing end of life care to all.
Thank you for considering joining with me to raise money for the on going needs of Sakura House here in Woodstock.

About VON Oxford Sakura House
Our 10-bed residential hospice provides compassionate end-of-life care at no cost to patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. VON Sakura House provides a skilled team of nurses, personal support workers, physicians and specially trained volunteers who help more than 344 patients and their families each year. Hospice care is covered only partially by government funding so we need to raise the rest to cover the gap. That is why your donation is so important.
