The Hike for Hospice benefiting VON Oxford Sakura House is an annual hike that brings families, friends, staff, volunteers, sponsors and community members together to raise funds for Oxford County’s only residential hospice. 

I am hiking and fundraising for the patients and their families who use these services each year. I hope you will join me. Help me reach my goal to help more patients and families . I am also hiking in Memory of My Mom Marjorie Elliott who had the opportunity to stay at Sakura House from April 2025 until her passing in July 2025. My Mom myself and other family were always treated with the best care respect and support from all the staff and volunteers at Sakura House. During our visits it was always like our home. My Grandson could eat as many werthers candies his belly could hold. They even found their way in his shoes for him to take home. My Granddaughter learned how to improve her cartwheels in the hallways thanks to certain PSW. I had an opportunity to share extra special time and make memories with my Mom but also receive the support I needed. I want to give back some of what we were given and help other families receive the love support and care we received .
